Since forming in 2004, SiM have grown from one of Japan’s leading rock acts into a global force. Following the worldwide success of “The Rumbling,” the Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2 opening theme that reached No. 1 on a U.S. Billboard chart, the band have toured the world and performed at major festivals including Download Festival and Rock am Ring.

Their seventh full-length album, HOOMAN AFTER ALL, marks a new chapter for SiM. Working with outside producer Jon Lundin for the first time, the band push their signature sound even further—a wildly unpredictable yet irresistibly catchy collision of punk, hardcore, reggae, ska, hip-hop, metal and nu-metal. The album also features standout collaborations with Yukina from HANABIE. on “BLiNDEYES,” Masato (coldrain) on “ZiON,” and the horn section of HEY-SMITH on “The Sniffing Cats Ska,” while “FiVE TiMES DEAD” and “Sailing On” were co-written in Los Angeles with Morgoth Beatz of Seven Hours After Violet.

The title HOOMAN AFTER ALL takes its name from the playful internet slang “hooman”—a word for humans seen through the eyes of animals. Fittingly, the album artwork features MAH holding his own cat, adding a personal touch to an album that captures SiM at their most adventurous, refined and unmistakably themselves.
