Movie: Fishmans [Special Box] (Blu-ray)

In Tokyo at the end of the 20th century, Fishmans were the lone band that pursued pure music. Highly acclaimed both in Japan and abroad, their journey was anything but smooth. Sluggish sales; record company changes; multiple departures from the band. And,the sudden death of vocalist Shinji Sato ....... The band's leader, Kenichi Motegi, was left on his own and called on his friends who had left to restart the band. In the spring of 2019, the 20th anniversary of Shinji Sato's death, Fishmans head to the stage with a special determination. Band members and others from the Japanese music industry talk about the band's journey from its formation to the present, and their passion for music. The doc includes a treasure trove of contemporary footage. This is an unprecedented 172 minutes of music documentary.

Released in Japan nationwide on July 9, 2021 it became a long-running blockbuster.
